The Cell Parts Project gives students the opportunity to showcase their understanding of the organelles found in each of the cells types: animal cells, plant cells, and prokaryotic (bacteria) cells. Students are given the choice of four different products for their project: Cell Analogies Collage, 3D Model of Plant or Animal Cell, T-Shirt Design, or Organelle Job Ads. Although the final product may not include all the cell parts listed in the graphic organizer, students are still expected to complete the graphic organizer and submit it with their final product. Teacher rubric is included!

LESSON IDEA: I usually introduce the project and give my classes one class period (90 minutes) to work on it in class. The rest is homework. I give students a week (with a weekend) to complete the project on their own.
